Terms and conditions

In making payment of the required deposit to secure the vehicle, date and chauffer, you are accepting the terms and conditions of hire and agree to be bound by them.

 

  1. All bookings are subject to availability and a non-refundable deposit of £100 secures the vehicle and chauffer for the date and time required. The client must have written confirmation that booking has been accepted.

  2. You will provide accurate full details of all addresses, pick up points, ceremony and reception venues. All contact details and directions to venues if rural. Failure to do so could result in delays to your event of cancellation of the hire.

  3. By making the deposit the client is agreeing in full the terms and conditions of hire.

  4. The balance is payable no later than 30 days prior to the date of the event. If the balance is not paid the deposit will be forfeited and the booking will be cancelled.

  5. Bookings made within 30 days of the event must be paid in full.

  6. Payment can be made by cash, BACS or credit card.

  7. The booking price will be specific to your event. It will consider mileage, journey times, ceremony times and photography times. All bookings will include a 20-minute drive between ceremony and reception.

  8. We reserve the right to decline a contract for hire at our sole discretion whether or not a suitable vehicle is available.

  9. Any changes will need to be confirmed by us in writing and may be subject to additional charges.

  10. Cancellation to a confirmed booking needs to be received by us in writing. If cancellation is received 30 days before the due event date then 50% of the hire fee will be refunded. If the cancellation is within 30 days of the event date then no refund will be offered. Postponements are deemed as cancellations. In the rare occurrence the we cancel, the full amount paid by hirer will be refunded, any further claims for compensation will not be accepted.

  11. We have the right to refuse entry into any vehicle under our control to any person who is, or appears to be, under the influence of alcohol or illegal substances. Any offensive, abusive or intimidating behaviour directed at the chauffer and/or the vehicle in their charge by the hirer or ANY of the hirers party or guests will result in the withdrawal and termination of the hire. Any claim for compensation will not be accepted and our decision will be final.

  12. All our vehicles are strictly non-smoking, including vaping.

  13. Personal belongings are the responsibility of hirer and should be removed at the end of the hire period. The car, once left its location will not return. Lost property if found will be held for 14 days and is the hirers responsibility to collect from Aberystwyth. Valuables should not be left in the unattended vehicle. It is the hirers responsibility to ensure that all members of their party and guests keep clothing clear of any part of the vehicle that could dirty or damage their clothing. We take no responsibility for personal belongings or clothing that may be damaged or lost.

  14. Our cars do not have rear seat belts; therefore, we cannot carry any child under three. Children over the age of three may be carried but must be under the supervision of a responsible adult and remain seated at all times. The car will only carry the number of passengers the chauffer seems fit. Under no circumstances should anyone be carried on another person’s lap. No animals are allowed. 

  15. The hirer should ensure adequate access, turnaround and exit for our vehicles is available at all addresses to be attended. If at any point the chauffer feels this is restricted in any way then the car will be stopped at the nearest safe, legal place, regardless of distance. The chauffer has the right to refuse to travel on any surface they feel may cause damage to the vehicle.

  16. The chauffer will arrive and announce that the wedding transport has arrived at the address given on the hirers booking form. If this is a hotel, he will make himself known to the hotel staff detailing who is to be collected. If after an adequate period of time the passengers have not made themselves known, the vehicle will leave. Claims for refunds and compensation will not be accepted.

  17. Should the car develop a fault that could no be rectified in time for your event, whether en route or during your event a full refund will be offered and the next leg of your journey would be organised using a private hire taxi. No liability will be accepted for any further costs or claims for compensation.

  18. Whilst every effort is made to plan your journey, we cannot be held liable for delays beyond our control. Roadworks, local events, rural activities, road closures, accidents and even the weather can affect journey times. Any delays en-route to any location that is beyond our control and accepted as unforeseen circumstances and this is accepted by the hirer at time of booking. No liability can be accepted for any delays.

  19. In the event of adverse weather, it will be decided by us if it is safe to operate the vehicles in the conditions at the time. Should we feel it would be hazardous to operate the hirer will be notified and the event cancelled. No refund will be offered.

  20. The hirer agrees that if any member of their party or guests causes damage/theft to the Prestige Wedding Car property or incited others to cause damage, the hirer will be responsible for any costs of repair to the vehicle. Damage to both the interior and exterior are the responsibility of the hirer. The total repair cost will include the cost of the repair, loss of bookings and any other incurred costs.

  21. The vehicle will arrive in a clean and presentable condition. Small amounts of confetti/rice inevitably will be carried into the vehicle on a person’s clothing, the throwing of these items inside/around the car. The use of silly string, shaving foam or any other potentially damaging item is prohibited. Should a person be taken unwell an additional cleaning charge will be levied.  You agree that no additional paraphernalia will be attached to our vehicles including, but not limited to tin cans or other items by string or adhesives, signs and slogans etc. Should any action by the hirers party cause excess cleaning then a charge will be levied.

  22. Complimentary gifts are offered as a courtesy along with any in car entertainment, the use and availability does not form any part of the hire agreement and is at the discretion of Prestige Wedding Car.

  23. Limitation of Liability. Prestige Wedding Car will not be held responsible for delays or cancellations of ceremonies, receptions, other events, missed appointments, or delays, traffic congestion poor weather conditions, incorrectly advised timings, incomplete or wrong details on the booking form or any other circumstances beyond our control.

  24. We reserve the right to amend or change our terms and conditions at any time.
